THE LOST UNICORN' HOTEL

TSANGARADA

At the far end of Tsangarada square with its famous thousand-year-old plane tree, stands an unadorned stone building which, in 1952, became the first hotel in the area. After closing in 1974 the building was allowed to fall into disrepair, but between 1995 and 1997 was completely and lovingly restored, reopening as a most welcoming English-style pension. Now, the new owners, Claire and Christos Martzos, are continuing the tradition with their own special blend of Greek and English hospitality.

The Drawing Room
The drawing room, furnished with antiques and paintings from England, Greece and other parts of the world is a tasteful melee which is in complete contrast to the rusticity of the village. The dining room and library are equally charming and inviting. Breakfast is served, and during the summer the restaurant is open for dinner from Thursday to Monday. Meals are normally taken on the terrace, with a view to the old square, and of course drinks are available throughout the day. Upstairs there are eight double or twin bedrooms, all with en-suite facilities, and each with its own unique furniture and colour scheme.
Stay at 'The Lost Unicorn' and you will be perfectly based to explore the mountain villages of East Pelion, and the wonderful beaches of Milopotamos or Fakistra.
The Hotel is open throughout the year, and is ideal for winter breaks too.
