Once again we are able to offer you a choice of car hire, depending on whether you prefer to pick up your car at Volos, Athens or Thessaloniki airports, or in Volos if you are arriving via Skiathos. Volos cars can be pre-booked for any period of 7 days and above, but bookings for shorter periods can be made through our office in Milina. Volos cars rented for 7 or more days can normally be delivered to and collected from the airport, Volos town, or any of our Houses. All Volos, Athens and Thessaloniki cars have A/C as standard at no extra cost, except Athens and Thessaloniki, Group BA.

ATHENS & THESSALONIKI CARS:
Will be waiting for you at the airport, or if you are staying overnight in either city, will be delivered to your hotel at whatever time you specify.

The rates quoted above include:
	1	7 days unlimited mileage plus 1 extra driver.
	2	Third party liability and property damage insurance.
	3	Collision damage waiver (CDW). Note that there is an excess payment of €500.00 plus VAT
	4	Fire and theft insurance.
	5	Delivery and collection of vehicles to Athens and Thessaloniki airports, and at AutoUnion offices during office hours, 07.31-21.00.
	6	24-hour Road Assistance throughout the mainland, and substitution of vehicle in case of breakdown.
	7	VAT at 19%.
Extra	1	Delivery or collection of vehicles to/from Athens and Thessaloniki in-town hotels during office hours, £23.
Charges	2	For delivery or collection outside office hours add £23 to daytime charge.
	3	Child seats, each, per day, £4.
	4	2nd or more additional drivers, £4 each per day.
	5	Full Damage (Excess) Waiver, £8 per day for all Groups

VOLOS CARS:
Will be waiting for you when you disembark in Volos from the hydrofoil from Skiathos, or can be delivered to you at Volos airport, in Volos town, or to your House, once you have settled in.

	3	Collision damage waiver (CDW). Note that there is an excess payment of €650 for Gps A, B & C; €750 for Gps D, K, T & U; and €1100 for Gp Y, all plus VAT.
	4	Fire insurance to the total value of the rented car.
	5	Delivery and collection of vehicles at the Volos port, or the Hertz office in Volos
	6	Substition of vehicles in the event of a breakdown.
	7	VAT at 19%.
Extra Charges:	1	For each delivery to or collection from your House £25.00
	2	Additional drivers £6.00 per driver per day.
	3	Child seats, £5.00 per day; Roof racks £8.00 per day.
	4	Theft Protection: Groups A,B,C, £8.00 per day; Groups D,K,T,U, £11.00 per day; Group Y, £15.00 per day.
	5	Super CDW: The excess payable can be reduced to €70 for Groups A, B and C at a cost of £9 per day; to €150 for Groups D, K, T, U at a cost of £11 per day; and to €200 for Group Y for a cost £18 per day.
	6	Refuelling Service Charge; If the car is returned with less than a full tank of petrol, the client will be refunded on a pro-rata basis, (see 5, Booking Conditions & General Conditions of Rental, below) but will be required to pay the Refueling Service Charge, currently €21.42 ( €18.00 +VAT @ 19%)
	7	Night deliveries or collections (21:00 - 08:00) £28.
	8	There is a 29 minute grace priod. After the grace period has expired, the client will be charged a full day (24 hours) rental.

Before booking your car, please read the conditions below carefully, as they apply to rentals from Athens, Thessaloniki and Volos.

Booking Conditions & General Conditions of Rental

1. A non-refundable deposit of £30 is payable upon booking. The balance is required on receipt of the Final Invoice, or full payment should be made at the time of booking if departure is within 8 weeks.
   
2. It is the client's responsibility to make sure that his or her documentation is in order, and to ensure that the age of all drivers is above the minimum required. If the client is unable to drive the car due to lack of the correct documentation, no refunds will be given.
   
3. The minimum age for drivers of car Gps A, B and C hired from Athens, Thessaloniki and Volos is 21 years; for larger cars 25 years. All drivers must have held a full National or International driving license for at least 12 months, and the driver's British or International license, and passport, must be produced when the car hire contract is signed.
   
4. While using the vehicle, clients will be subject to the provisions of the Greek Driving Code, and any traffic fines or other expenses incurred during the rental period are the client's responsibility.
   
5. Petrol is paid for by the client, and only Super, or Unleaded, as appropriate should be used. Athens and Thessaloniki cars will normally be delivered with a full tank, and should be returned with the same amount in the tank as on delivery. Volos cars will be delivered with a full tank, and the cost will be prepaid by the client on delivery. If the car is returned with a full tank, the client will be refunded in full; otherwise pro-rata plus the Refueling Service Charge.
   
6. Cars are reserved by the group and not by the model, as the availability of individual models cannot be guaranteed. In the event that the car hire company is unable to supply the car group which has been confirmed, an alternative car of similar or superior standard will be supplied at no extra cost.
   
7. If the client wishes to ferry the car to or from an island, advance notification must be given, and written authorisation received. Note that an extra premium may be payable to provide insurance cover for the ferry trip(s).
   
8. Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) is included in all rates quoted for cars from Athens, Thessaloniki and Volos. NOTE, that CDW will not apply if it is determined by the competent authorities that any collision or fire damage was caused by violation of the Greek Driving Code. Note also that damage to wheels, tyres and the underside of the car is not covered by insurance, and so any tyre repair or replacement, and any damage to the underside of the car, must be paid for by the client. Note, however that this protection can be purchased for Athens and Thessaloniki cars.
   
9. Rental is due from the client for such time as the car is being repaired.
   
10. Although cars are insured to carry a certain number of people, this does not necessarily mean that they will do so in comfort. Note that the carrying of more people than the car is insured for, invalidates the insurance.
    
11. Local tax rates and CDW rates can change. If changes do occur which increase the price, clients will be informed.
    
12. If you cancel your car you will be charged according to the schedule in the Booking Conditions.
    
13. Houses of Pelion accepts no responsibility or liability for any accident, injury or death arising out of any act or omission by any person outside the control of Houses of Pelion Ltd.
